Comfort the Craving

Unlocking Taste That Unlocks Moments

At Pilgrim’s, we believe that when family gathers around a meal, anything is possible. That’s why we take pride in helping you set a new table, where every seat is an invitation to something special. Every meal a chance to spice things up. To replace convention with curiosity. Unlock potential. Experience new traditions from untraditional flavors. Laugh. Dig in. Get messy. Create new moments.

Our company values are the lens through which we view our role in the communities where we live and work. Throughout the global pandemic, our team members and our communities have looked to us for reassurance that we can – and will – get through this crisis.

Get a Taste of Our History

With humble beginnings dating back to 1946, Pilgrim’s was formed by a partnership between Aubrey Pilgrim and Pat Johns when they purchased a feed store in Pittsburg, Texas. Soon after forming the partnership, Aubrey asked his brother Lonnie “Bo” Pilgrim to join them.

In an effort to diversify their feed business, the trio began selling baby chicks, pioneering the implementation of a “vertical integration” business model for poultry production—a method used by nearly every major poultry company today.

From the beginning, setting new standards for the industry and for your table were the top priorities for the Pilgrim brothers. And these are the same beliefs that have continued our growth for decades.
