With corporate headquarters in Greeley, Colorado, we have operations in 14 U.S. states, proudly producing Pilgrim’s poultry products.

Pilgrim’s Roots

With humble beginnings dating back to 1946, Pilgrim’s was formed by a partnership between Aubrey Pilgrim and Pat Johns when they purchased a feed store for $3,500 in Pittsburg, Texas. Soon after forming the partnership, Aubrey asked his brother, Lonnie “Bo” Pilgrim to join them.

In an effort to diversify their feed business, the trio began selling baby chicks leading to the implementation of a “vertical integration” business model for poultry production, which is used by nearly every major poultry company today.

From the beginning, innovative growth was a top priority for the Pilgrim brothers and responding to opportunities effectively and investing in capital improvements would be how they would achieve such growth. Over the next seven decades, the Pilgrim family, most notably, Bo, would transition the company into a world leading producer of wholesome, high-quality and affordable poultry products.
